Homebody

I was just on the phone with a tech guy from Apple trying to get a new keyboard and while he was waiting for confirmation on something, he asked me, "So what's the weather been like in New York?" I paused for a second and realized I honestly couldn't tell him... I had not been out of the house since Saturday!! I had to ask Mutsumi what it was like outside!

I need to get out NOW!!!

I can so relate there sir. Go get a coffee or something. From what I saw when I was in NY, there's a starbucks on every corner of every block.

outside is so over rated. Try going to St. Mark's Place. That'll energize ya.

By the way is "Yakitori Taisho" still around?

Here it is Thursday morning and I'll finally be leaving the house in a few minutes!

Sunlight, here I come!

Yes, Yakitori Taisho is still there and going strong. The opened up a second bigger location a few doors down actually. Business is booming. Taisho-san still keeps his staff all Japanese too, which make it that much more authentic for me. Unlike Haru, which recently got rid of all its "expensive" Japanese staff. :(

A good, new yakitori joint opened up on 55th St too. Totto uses organic chicken and is a bit pricey, but it's some of the best yakitori I've ever eaten, even including Japan. The hiza nankotsu is amazing, but you have to get there right when they open to get some as it sells out almost immediately
