RAISING HELEN
This was one film I had no intention of ever seeing. I even got an advanced screener copy last year and it has been sitting here waiting to be taped over. But it was on HBO the other day and Mutsumi started watching it, so who was I to tell her to stop. I guess my fake vomiting after seeing ten minutes didn't clue her in to my opinion of it. It's a bunch pretty people phoning in terrible acting performaces in a poorly written coming-of-age/love story. It hits all three Cs: cheesy, cliche and contrived.
Do not waste your time!
