Matthew Vaughn Quits X3

It was less than a week ago that I was sitting at T.G. Whitney's relating to my friends over beers how a pretty reliable source had told me that Matthew Vaughn was not going to be directing X-Men 3. Well, it's true. Avi Arad has confirmed his departure here

I also have it on pretty good authority (from non-Marvel sources) who the new director will be. But I'm going to keep that to myself for now. Let's just say that if this director does it, me and every other X-Men fan will be thrilled! However, if it is true, we'll have to wait a little longer as the movie will not be ready in time for Memorial Day next year. They'd wait and be shooting for next Christmas instead. (And while Joss Whedon's name keeps popping up, that's not who I hear it is.)

Should be interesting to see how this one plays out...
